Fundraising Trips


Join us for a full moon sea kayak paddle, a whitewater rafting adventure, or a longer expedition in Baja or on the Grand Canyon. Proceeds benefit the Environmental Traveling Companions (ETC) scholarship fund for disabled and disadvantaged adventurers. Our trips for companies and groups of family and friends are a perfect way to build a team or celebrate special events. Experience an unforgettable adventure and help ETC’s participants have the same thrill!

Moonlight Dinner Kayaking Paddles (June 22 and Aug. 17)
Launch from Sausalito for a sunset paddle to Sam's Anchor Cafe in Tiburon to enjoy a delicious meal. After dinner, we'll embark on a stunning paddle home under the light of the full moon with spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline. Private trips can be scheduled for groups of 10 or more.

Baja Kayak Expedition (March 22-30, 2014)
Beautiful beaches, warm water, abundant wildlife, and Baja culture and cuisine will leave you exhilarated and inspired. Join us for a glorious week of paddling through the clear turquoise waters along the spectacular shoreline of Espiritu Santo Island.

Kayak Mendocino (Sept. 20-22, 2013)
Enjoy the scenic Mendocino Coast as we paddle up the Big River and explore sea caves on the Pacific Ocean. We will stay overnight at Jughandle Creek Farm in a quaint 120-year-old farmhouse with coastal trail access.

Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay Kayaking (2014 dates TBA)
Tahoe needs no introduction as a playground for mountain pursuits, but as a sea kayaking destination it is equally dramatic! We'll paddle along the Lake Tahoe shoreline, showcasing vertical granite cliffs and the grandeur of glacier carved  Emerald Bay.

Raft the South Fork of the American River (Call for dates)
In the heart of gold Rush country, the South Fork of the American River is the most popular rafting desination in California. It has a perfect blend of thrilling rapids, beautiful scenery and captivating history. Close to the Bay Area, it is a great river for the whole family. Spend the night at our beautiful ecologically designed campground right on the banks of the river.

Raft the Grand Canyon (Aug. 19 - Sept. 2, 2014)
Nowhere on earth is there a more dramatic geologic storybook than the Grand Canyon. For nearly three hundred miles the river cuts a chasm over a mile deep through a rainbow of ancient rock. Raft whitewater galore! Explore crystalline creeks, waterfalls, cactus gardens and Native American ruins; they're all here! ETC will be running this trip with the premier outfitter Canyon Explorations.
