Tomales Bay Base Camp Overnight

Tomales Bay is a paddlers dream. With pristine water, beautiful scenery, and plentiful wildlife, your group will experience first hand this remarkable jewel of west Marin County. During your trip your group will first learn the basics of kayaking, then explore all the Tomales Bay has to offer. This trip has a variety of options. You will either spend the night before or after your paddle at our exclusive Tomales Bay State Park campsite and can also add another day to either kayak again or hike in the Point Reyes Area. This trip is great for novice to advanced paddlers of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Trip Overview

The trip will begin with an opening circle, giving the Guides an opportunity to meet your group and orient them to the plan for the day. Next, the guides will give instructions on paddling and safety, accommodate any special needs then get on the water. Depending on the length of the trip and the group's paddling abilities, there are several different paddling routes and all are great for exploring the unique environments of Tomales Bay. Once we are done paddling, together as a team (if ability and timing allows) we’ll put the kayaks and equipment away

It is possible to spend the night before or after your trip at our exclusive campsite at Tomales Bay State Park. We’ll set up camp together and enjoy a communal dinner, before enjoying a night hike or group games. The next morning we’ll eat breakfast before breaking camp and either go for a paddle, hike in the Point Reyes area, or do a closing circle before heading home.
