Sea Kayak Friends and Family Trips

Although most of our trips are with agencies or groups that bring a minimum of 10 people on a trip, ETC also offers several trips each season that individuals, families and small groups may sign up for. Trip Overview: San Francisco Bay is an incredible place to paddle, with breathtaking views, abundant wildlife, and rich natural history. During your trip you will first learn the basics of kayaking, then experience the Bay first hand by paddling its shoreline and stopping on one of its many beaches. This trip is great for novice to advanced paddlers of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Trip Overview: Tomales Bay is a paddlers dream. With pristine water, beautiful scenery, and plentiful wildlife, your group will experience first hand this remarkable jewel of west Marin County. During your trip you will first learn the basics of kayaking, then explore Tomales Bay by boat, meandering along the shoreline and likely stopping on one of the many sand beaches. This trip is great for novice to advanced paddlers of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Trip Overview: Angel Island is a one of a kind place to spend the night.  During your trip, you will first learn the basics of kayaking, then paddle to Angel Island to spend an evening exploring this jewel of San Francisco Bay and stay in historic Civil War era buildings. The next day, we’ll enjoy a morning paddle back to Sausalito to close a memorable trip on San Francisco Bay. This trip is great for novice to advanced paddlers of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Trip Overview: Paddling on Tomales Bay at evening is a special treat, only made better by the abundant bioluminescent plankton in the water. This plankton emits a small burst of light, meaning that each paddle stroke, swimming fish, or excited harbor seal makes a remarkable streak in the water. It’s an incredible sight to behold!  During your trip you will first learn the basics of kayaking, then explore Tomales Bay under the cover of darkness. This trip is great for novice to advanced paddlers of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Scholarships: At ETC, we believe that everyone, regardless of financial limitations, should be able to experience the beauty of nature and the challenge of outdoor adventure. We have a limited scholarship budget should a participant not be able to afford the above prices.
